We offer fun recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes designed for children of all ages for the beginner all the way through advanced levels. We teach physical fitness, coordination, balance, and muscle control. These skills will help to build a strong foundation for any sport in an athletes future. We promote self discipline, self control, independence, increased self esteem, and moral values, which are important tools for a successful future not only in gymnastics, but throughout one's lifetime. Our coaches have years of experience, even working with competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance teams.

Gymnastics
For girls, the gymnastics events include the floor exercise, beam, uneven bars, and vault. For boys, the events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. We also have a tumble track and foam pit with ropes (a wall, a swing, and a trapeze) that are used in training certain skills and for fun! Our pre-school classes use miniature gymnastics equipment as they learn the very basics and develop their motor skills. All gymnastics classes include a warm-up, 3 events per day, and conditioning/strengthening/flexibility or free time. All classes are one hour long except the two to three year old gymnastics.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS - (Listed in order from beginner to advanced):
Preschool - creative obstacle courses. The children will work on thier motor skills and familiarize themselves with the equipment. Basic skills will be taught on the different events including good class behavior (listening, taking turns, and sharing). Preschool classes are broken down into: 2 to 3 years old (45min class), 3 to 4 years old, and 4 to 5 years old.
Girls Gymnastics 1 - The Level 1 Girls Gymnastics class is for students, ages 6 & older, with no prior gymnastics experience. We will learn skills on the Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Tumble Track. On the Vault students will learn how to run and jump on the board working on a good stick landing. On the Bars we will focus on basic hanging skills and support skills. On the Balance Beam the students will learn balance, posture, and be introduced to a variety of basic skills. On the Floor and the Tumble Track we will work on rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and jumps.
Girls Gymnastics 2 - The Level 2 Girls Gymnastics class is for students, ages 6 & older, who have taken gymnastics class before and have mastered level 1 skills. Level 2 students will work the same events as Level 1, but with more difficult skills. On the Vault the students will learn dive rolls and handstand positions. On the Bars we will work on swinging skills, back hip circles, and dismounts. On Balance Beam students will continue to improve balance and posture while learning more advanced skills like handstands and forward rolls. On the Floor and the Tumble Track students will learn back bends, kick-overs, round offs, and back handsprings over the barrel. Students must be evaluated by a coach in order to sign up for a Level 2 Gymnastics Class.
Girls Gymnastics 3 - The Level 3 Girls Gymnastics class is an advanced class for students, 6 & older, who have mastered level 2 skills. They will be perfecting the skills they have learned and will work more difficult skills on each event. On the Vault students will learn front flips and front handsprings. On the Bars we will work squat-ons, dismounts, and introduce them to skills on the high bar. On the Balance Beam students will work turns, split leaps, split jumps, as well as cartwheels and dismounts. On the Floor and the Tumble Track they will begin to learn back handsprings, front handsprings, split leaps, and front flips. Level 3 classes are by invitation only.
Boys Gymnastics 1 - The Level 1 Boys Gymnastics class is for boys, ages 6 & older, with no prior gymnastics experience. The students will work on the Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, High Bar, and Tumble Track. The Level 1 boys will learn basic skills like rolls on the floor, support swings on the Pommel Horse, chin and L hangs on the Rings, squat-on the Vault, straddle travel on the Parallel Bars, and back hip circles on the High Bar.
Boys Gymnastics 2 - The Level 2 Boys Gymnastics class if for students, ages 6 & older who have taken gymnastics class before and mastered some basic skills. Level 2 students will work the same apparatus as Level 1, but with more difficult skills. The boys will work round offs on the Floor, leg cuts on the Pommel Horse, swings on the Rings, dive rolls on the Vault, support swings on the Parallel Bars, and tap swings on the High Bar. Students must be evaluated by a coach in order to sign up for a Level 2 Class.
Tumbling
Tumbling is for the child that wants to strengthen and coordinate their body to perform flips in a correct and safe way. These skills are taught on over 6000 square feet of spring floor, a 40 foot tumble track, and a 600 square foot pit. Tumbling can be applied to dance, cheerleading, karate, or just for some FUN physical fitness. These classes are a great way to increase self confidence, body awareness, and coordination!
All tumbling classes include - a warm-up, review, training for new skills, conditioning, strengthening, and flexibility
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS - (Listed in order from beginner to advanced):
Pre-K Tumbling 1 (Ages 3-5 on Thursdays) - This class is recommended for those kids who have taken this class before. This class will focus on motor skills, jumping, hopping, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. We will also work on front and back rolls, hand stands against a wall, cartwheels and bridge ups. This is a great class for the young ones that will keep them active and having fun! This class is recommended for kids who are not in kindergarten yet.
Pre-K Tumbling 2 (Ages 3-6 on Wednesdays) - This class is recommended for children who have taken this class before and are willing to try their cartwheel independently. This class will focus on more advanced motor skills, jumping, hopping, balance and coordination, strength and flexibility. We will also work on front and back rolls, hand stands against a wall, cartwheels, bridge ups, back bends, 1 arm cartwheels, round offs and back handsprings will be introduced. This is a great class for the young ones, with experience. This class will keep the children active and having fun!
Level 1 Tumbling - The focus of this class will be only on tumbling skills. This class is meant for kids who are tumbling for the first time and need practice on basic tumbling skills such as cartwheels & round offs. The following skills will be worked on regularly: rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round offs and backbends. Walkovers and back handsprings will be introduced in addition to strength building, conditioning and stretching. Cheerleading will not be a part of the curriculum.
Level 2 Tumbling - The focus of this class will be only on tumbling skills. This class is meant for kids who have a moderate amount of tumbling experience. Kids in this class should be able to do a strong cartwheel and a strong round off independently. The kids in this class should be eager to work on back hand springs but still need a spot while practicing them. The following skills will be worked on regularly: Cartwheels, 1 arm Cartwheels, Running Round offs, Walkovers, Back Handsprings and Round off Back Handsprings. The students in this class will be introduced to punch fronts and connecting skills as well as strength building, conditioning and stretching.
Level 3 Tumbling - The focus of this class will be only on tumbling skills. This class is meant for kids who are completely independent when performing standing and running back handsprings on the floor. The students will work on back handspring series, back tucks, layouts, full twists, punch fronts & combined skills passes. The students in this class will work on strength building, conditioning and stretching.
